Current NBA Player Comparison: Robin Lopez/Samuel Dalembert
Cauley-Stein is an agile seven-footer with the potential to heavily impact the game. He's still a bit away from being an impact player as he doesn't really have an offensive game to speak of. He doesn't have the leaping ability of someone like Chandler to catch lobs, but with a better playmaker he could be very serviceable in this department. Defensively is where Cauley-Stein will impact the game the most. He challenges just about everything at the rim, and covers ground quickly. Unfortunately, as is common for shot-blockers, he gets in foul trouble quite quickly, and struggles on the floor. Any team that drafts him will need to be aware that he'll likely need time to contribute and be capable of helping to mold and develop his progress as a player.
